In our corner

Life gets heavy, and you get stronger. Usually that happens with help from people who’ve been down the road before you. That’s as true for us as it is for our clients.

As we built Grava, we brought in two people who know that road well, one for the clinical side and one for the business side. Between them, Marty and Scott have more than 45 years in behavioral health.

Marty Munoz

Marty Munoz

Ed.D., LPC, LAC

Clinical Supervisor

Dr. Marty Munoz is a Regis University professor with 30 years of teaching experience and even more as a practicing psychotherapist. He has worked extensively with all adult populations and specializes in depression and anxiety as well as substance use.

Marty holds a doctorate in counselor education from the University of Northern Colorado. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado.

At Grava, Marty supervises the clinical side and consults with Caroline on her cases.

Scott Kindel

Scott Kindel

Strategic Advisor

Scott has more than 15 years of leadership experience in the substance use and mental health field. He has worked across the full continuum of care, from inpatient detox and residential treatment to outpatient services and sober living. Through all of it, his focus has been on ethical, client-centered programs.

Scott founded Kindel Consulting to help behavioral health organizations of any size launch and grow. He serves on the board of the Jaywalker Foundation, which supports long-term recovery.

At Grava, Scott advises us on the business side, from compliance and day-to-day operations to how we present the practice. He believes good clinical care depends on strong systems behind it, and so do we. Dane considers him a personal mentor and an integral part of his recovery, going back to the groups Scott led during Dane’s treatment years ago.
